Little Colored Sticks

Mr. Sunshine considers what he'd do with those little colored sticks of mine.

“I don’t get your fascination with these little colored sticks. You play with them all the time and I don’t see what you get out of it, in fact, sometimes you are downright angry. Do you have any idea what I could do with those little colored sticks?”

Luckily, this is a really cheap set of my little colored sticks, the ones I take “into the field” or around the house, and if they are dropped on the floor or into the creek, I’m only out a few bucks and not the amount of an investment in art materials, so if Mr. Sunshine decides to swipe a paw at them and they end up all over the room, I’ll be fine, and he will get to live.

Of course, I’d never endanger either him or my art materials, and for the record I’m the only one in this house who’s dumped a whole box of expensive pastels on the floor.

“And I don’t know about that painting, that’s not what it looks like out that window at all. I look out that window all the time.”

Oh, now he’s an art critic.
