The Three Witches
When shall we three meet again?
In thunder, lightning, or in rain?
Guess the kids have been getting into my literature textbooks again. I thought my Riverside Shakespeare was too heavy for them, but there is no getting in the way of a determined reader. Now that they’ve mastered Act 1, Scene 1 of MacBeth, I can’t wait to see how they interpret Scene 2.
Maybe reading to them as kittens really did work.
Actually, Mimi, Mewsette and Giuseppe were gathered around the lamp “to keep warm” as they said, because the temperature was all of about 65 degrees. Time to get out the cozy beds!

What a great photo “catch.” Just perfect. And I have no doubt that they were sitting there to get the warmth. But what a wonderful photo op.
They are so self-aware, though–Mimi came in when they were just days old and the younger ones have grown up being photographed, I know they are giving me their “good side” even when they are just doing what they do naturally. This one, though, before I even took the photo I thought, “…when shall we three meet again?” I thank them every day for such inspiration.
Now THAT’S a perfect Halloween picture!
And a REAL challenge for me and my camera–no easy shots from these guys!
Great photo! Much better than cats in costume!
I finally got them to do something with a Halloween theme. You’d think with five black cats I’ve have lots of opportunities!
