Daily Sketch: Looking Out the Window

charcoal sketch of cat looking out window

Looking Out the Window, charcoal © B.E. Kazmarski

Mimi has her tail coiled in its happy curl as she observes the neighborhood activities.

Personally, I don’t see anything, but I am only a frail and helpless human.

Yeah, our cats have always seen things I can’t. Sometimes I wish I could be inside their heads. Other times–when they run from things I can’t see–I’m grateful not to be.

I can certainly see the family resemblance. If you could see the tail twitching (or hear the chittering), I’d swear it was Donal or Angus watching a squirrel!

Amby, it’s just amazing you can see a resemblance in this loose little sketch, but all the generations of Mimi’s kittens carry some of the same traits, either the tail or the ears especially. What a legacy!
